A few weeks ago, I showed you a method on Firefox to take a screenshot of an entire web page… this method, while not very complex, did not offer a turnkey solution.
Please note that there is a very simple alternative to use which is simply called Screen Capture and which was developed by Digital Inspiration.
Use Screen Capture to capture a web page
Screen Capture shines with its simplicity since you have absolutely no options and no settings.
So all you have to do is enter the URL of the page you want to capture, press the "Capture Screenshot" button and that's it, you just have to download the copy of the web page which is made by default in .png format.
The only problem, and not the least, is the script behind it Screen Capture does not allow to manage the lazy load (a process of loading images as you browse a web page to speed up loading). So, when a website uses the lazy load (and this is the case of Byothe.fr), the photos and images will not be captured and you will have a big blank instead (see example)… In the case of these websites, the best solution remains to use the method via Firefox.
But in all other cases or if you are not interested in images, the solution proposed by Screen Capture is by far the simplest and fastest to use.
iTop Screen Recorder, an alternative for screen capture
Alternatively, here is another free screen capture and recording tool: iTop Screen Recorder. This tool is both powerful and user-friendly, allowing you to easily take screenshots and recordings. The scrolling screenshot feature of iTop Screen Recorder is particularly noteworthy, allowing you to capture the entire content of a webpage or a long page in one go. This feature saves you the hassle of trimming and stitching together captures, allowing you to quickly and easily save all the content of large pages.
Using iTop Screen Recorder for capture an entire web page is very simple. You just need to open the software, select the scrolling screen capture function, and then open the web page you want to capture. Then, you just need to scroll the page using the mouse: all the content displayed on the screen will be recorded in the capture.
