Sometimes it is useful to quickly share information between different computers or between a computer and a PC. You can send an email, share a file on a cloud solution or use a much more original solution: Simple.Savr.
Simple.Savr is a website that will allow you to share text or documents between devices connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Its big advantage is that it is an online tool that requires absolutely no installation.
This way, all the text you type will be visible on an instance of Simple.Savr opened on any device connected to your Wi-Fi network. Similarly, you will be able to share files (up to 25MB) which will be kept for 7 days before being deleted.
System limitation, you can only create one Savr session per IP address… of course…
Also be careful, anyone connected to the same network as you will have access to the information, messages and documents that you store on Savr! But you can protect yourself by going to the small cogwheel at the top of the window then in Security. Then enter a password that you can communicate to the people with whom you wish to share your information… This person will only have to click on the small padlock in their Savr session to enter your password!
In short, a little tool to keep carefully in your favorites!
