Steam's wishlist is handy, but it's not always useful. It lets you keep track of games you're interested in and might want to buy, and it lets you get alerts whenever a game on the list goes on sale. But those alerts are always triggered even for price drops that are small... or at least not likely to convince you to buy the game in question.
Well, know that there is a site that will allow you to manage this in a slightly more precise way!
IsThereAnyDeal.com can connect to your Steam account, import your wishlist, and send you an email notification when a game hits a certain price point or drops by a set percentage. It's a great way to save money on new titles and anything else on your wishlist, as long as you have the patience to wait for an opportunity!
Connect IsThereAnyDeal to Steam
To get started, you'll need to give IsThereAnyDeal access to your Steam account. Rest assured, this is completely safe – the site doesn't have access to your personal information or payment methods. Note that for this to work, Your Steam profile must be public. If you don't want to, you can create an account on the site and add games manually... that works too.
As the site is in English, I will detail the different steps to follow to give access to your Steam account.
1- Go to IsThereAnyDeal.com and click “Sign In” in the upper right corner.
2- In the pop-up window that opens, click on “Signin through Steam”. This will redirect you to the Steam website.
4- Once back on the IsThereAnyDeal main page, click the arrow next to your Steam username (top right), then click “Waitlist” from the drop-down menu.
5- On the page that opens, click on “Sync Profiles” on the right side of the page.
6- In your Steam account settings, click on “Sync now” to start synchronizing your Steam wishlist with IsThereAnyDeal.
This will add all the games in your Steam Wishlist to your IsThereAnyDeal list (which is the same thing, but better). You can repeat this process manually to add or remove items from your Steam Wishlist, or click "Periodically synchronize" to have the sync happen automatically.
Set up custom price alerts
From the step page above, click the arrow next to “Waitlist” on the right side of the page.
On the list page that opens, you will see all the games on your wishlist and the online stores that sell these games at the lowest prices.
Le best price is displayed with its corresponding discount in euros and percentage. Note that these prices come from internet sellers who sell game keys, not necessarily on Steam itself.

On the next page, you can set a specific price alert in the "Price" field or a discount percentage in the "Price cut" field. For this game, I'm going to choose to be alerted if there's a drop of at least 30%.
In the "but only if" field you can select various options, including being alerted only in case of a drop in a store that offers activation keys on Steam. But you can also set other conditions: DRM-free, activatable on Origin and U-Play.
Click “Update my Waitlist” to apply these conditions to your price alert, and you’re done! Click the “X” in the pop-up to go back to your waitlist and do the same job on your other games.
Restrict alerts to specific stores
But what if you're waiting for a sale on Steam because you have a gift card that you can't redeem on another online store? It's very simple. On the alert edit page, click "Override default store selection".
Here you can select specific stores. If you want to use only Steam, click "none" in the selection menu and then check Steam.
Click “Update my waitlist” again to apply your changes.
If you don't want to see alerts from certain stores systematically, click on the "manage in your settings" link. On the page that opens, you can select the stores you want to use for your entire wish list.
Make sure you receive email alerts
Finally, you should make sure that you receive IsThereAnyDeal email alerts. This way, you don't have to constantly check the site for price drops.
To do this, click the arrow next to your Steam username, then click “Settings.”

And there you have it! You will now be able to receive more relevant price alerts directly in your inbox!
