Some time ago I discovered a very nice tool that I hadn't yet had the time to present to you, allowing you to transform dull photo slideshows into nice videos!
This free tool developed by the French is called Stupflix and is really very easy to use… in short, a must-have as we like them…
To illustrate this article, I used Stupflix to create a short self-promotional film about Byothe.fr. Watch in hand, it took me less than 5 minutes and I like the result considering the time spent on it (you will find it at the bottom of this article)!
To create a video, the first step you will need to take is to create an account on the platform. This will allow you to find and manage all your videos… so it’s worth it!
Once your account is set up, you will be able to create your first video. The first thing to do will be to choose a predefined theme from the 16 offered.
On the creation screen, you will be able to do quite a few things. Start by changing the name of your video, so you can find it more easily later.
Then click on the big red “+” to add titles, photos, transitions or even location maps to your videos. Once integrated, rest assured, all these elements can be moved, modified or deleted!
About the pictures, you have many recovery options: from your computer, from a URL, from your webcam, from Facebook, Instagram, Flickr, Picassa and Dropbox!
You can also add a soundtrack by selecting an audio track on your computer or by browsing the music library offered by Stupflix.
Transitions and skins are automatically generated based on the theme you choose. However, you can adjust the color palette and pace of your video.
At any time, you can generate a preview of your video to get an idea of the final rendering.
Once you're happy with your edit, you can download your video in two resolutions (720p or 360p) or upload it directly to YouTube, Facebook or Vimeo.
Finally, Stupflix is really a great tool to transform your photo albums into cool videos. What's more, its use is really simple and everything is done for free. The only small intrusion of Stupeflix in your video is that the last screen of your film will display "Stupeflix" on a black background...
