Founded in 2013 by Eric Cheng, Tronsmart is dedicated to creating audio products and accessories for the general public from the Asian "Silicon Valley" in Shenzhen! The brand's goal is to offer quality products at a reasonable price!
To be honest, I didn't know about Tronsmart when the brand contacted me to offer me to test the speaker. Tronsmart Force 2 and I am therefore very happy to discover it through this portable Bluetooth speaker.
As with every time I test an audio product, I would like to remind you that I am not a "sound pro" and that this test is therefore based on my feelings as an "average person"... completely independently of the brand that provided me with the equipment.
Unpacking and design
One thing is for sure, Tronsmart is aligned with the trends of recent years in terms of packaging. The packaging of the Force 2 speaker is designed in a thick and sturdy cardboard that exudes quality. Even if it is not the most important, it is really appreciable and bodes well for the future. Tronsmart really wants to offer quality products.
Inside the box, nothing really revolutionary, the speaker is held by a plastic support which allows to reveal at first glance the essential design of the device but also to integrate the accessories and documentation included.
In terms of its appearance, this speaker is resolutely dedicated to adventure... its cylindrical shape which fits well in the hand, its matte coating and the shock-absorbing rubber on its ends make the Force 2 a real portable speaker.
A small point of disappointment but which probably allows the brand to focus on the essentials, the box does not contain any charger or storage case...
So in the box, we ultimately find quite few things:
- the enclosure itself
- 1 USB cable for charging
- 1 x 3.5mm jack to 3.5mm jack cable
- user manual
Getting Started and Features
A long press on the "On/Off" button will logically turn on the speaker. If this is the first time you are using it, Bluetooth pairing is very simple. All you have to do is go to the Bluetooth settings of the device you want to connect and start a search... you should then see the Tronsmart Force 2 speaker among the available options. All you have to do is click on it to connect to it.
On the speaker side, a long press on the button with the Bluetooth symbol allows you to disconnect the paired devices.
No frills in controls and features
The speaker's control buttons are reduced to 4 and protected by rubber:
- On Off
- Volume – / Previous track
- Volume + / Next track
- Bluetooth / Play / Pause
A small LED located next to the buttons provides some information, particularly on the charge status of the device.
But beyond these buttons, the speaker leaves a little on its end by not offering any sound mode with for example a bass control or a basic equalizer. Similarly, it could have been interesting to propose its integration in an official mobile application allowing to control different aspects and obtain informations on the device.
Connectors
Here again, in terms of connectivity, they have done rather simply, but we don't ask for much more. Thus, protected by a rubber casing, you will have access to an auxiliary input allowing you to connect any audio device using a 3.5 mm jack cable (provided).
The second (and last) connection is a USB-C socket dedicated to powering and recharging the speaker…
Compatibility with voice assistants
Anecdotal option for me but which nevertheless has the merit of existing, this speaker is compatible with the main voice assistants on the market (Siri, Cortana, Google Assistant, etc.)... finally by compatibility, it must be understood that the assistants are not installed on the speaker, it just allows you to interact with these assistants available on the connected device.
Hands-free mode
Practical, this speaker is equipped with a good quality microphone allowing you to take calls via your telephone or to use the speaker as a sound and microphone output for conferences on your computer.
In hands-free mode, you must use the Bluetooth button to answer or hang up calls.
IPX7 waterproof
Among the important features of a speaker dedicated to mopping and adventure is its waterproof level. The Force 2 speaker has an IPX7 waterproof rating. This level of protection on a scale of 0 to 8 indicates that the Tronsmart speaker is protected against the effects of immersion and can therefore withstand a 30-minute bath at less than 1 meter depth.
So you can take this speaker to the beach or poolside without worrying about it getting wet or even falling into the water!
Broadcast mode
Probably the greatest originality of this speaker lies in this "broadcast" mode. Indeed, with a view to a big party, you can connect up to 100 speakers to a "host" speaker to broadcast the same audio track!
A portable speaker
Let's be clear, it's not its dimensions (163 x 72 x 64 mm) or its weight (627g) that make the Tronsmart Force 2 a portable speaker. It's rather its shape that fits very well in the hand, the materials used (with rubber reinforcements on the edges) and its IPX7 waterproofing as seen above that make this speaker an ideal companion for your travels.
What's more, it is equipped with a small cord allowing it to be hung anywhere.
Audio quality
To manage the sound, the Force 2 has a Qualcommm QCC3021 chip allowing it to deliver very interesting audio performances. In addition, Tronsmart's SoundPulse technology helps to counteract harmonic distortion, eliminate noise, expand the range of sounds, strengthen the stereo effect and improve the bass... quite a program!
In terms of design, the Force 2 is equipped with 2 main speakers as well as 2 passive speakers located on its ends and intended for improve quality and bass depth. This design allows the speaker to deliver 30W RMS power, which seems pretty good considering the small size of the device.
And concretely?
Concretely, the Force 2 lives up to its name since the sound it sends out is really powerful… but this power does not come at the expense of quality…
Indeed, the sound spectrum is rather well reproduced. The bass is present as well as the treble… and this even when you push the sound to the max. Frankly, given its size, the sound is a real good surprise.
Likewise, the quality of phone calls is really good. The microphone works well and my interlocutors were not disturbed!

Price and conclusion
Regarding the price of the Tronsmart Force 2, the range available on the Internet is relatively wide… but you can generally find it between 50 and 60€, especially on Amazon. Feel free to do some research to find a good deal online! But overall it's a pretty reasonable price considering what this device has to offer.
In conclusion, the Tronsmart Force 2 Bluetooth speaker is a nice surprise since behind its tough and adventure-oriented appearance it offers impressive sound power for good audio quality.
