Tip: Use Google to convert units or currencies

You all know Google and probably use it every day… and yet, over the years, this search engine has become much more than a search engine.

The developers at this web giant are brimming with ideas, and as a result, there are a multitude of gadgets related to Google. and yet unknown to most people. Some are absolutely useless but others can be of use to you… like the one I’m going to tell you about today: the converter.

Indeed, the Google search bar will allow you to convert all kinds of units of measurement or even currencies! No need to use a program or application, everything happens online and it's very simple!

You just have to type in the search bar the conversion you want to do. And you can type it pretty much however you want, Google  is not too difficult. All the examples below work:

• 1 liter to centiliters
• 1 liter in cl
• 1 l in cl
• 1 liter in cl

A few years ago, you had to make sure your query was in a single language (1 meter in inches wouldn't work), but now Google understands most language combinations. The examples below work just as well:

• 1 meter in inches (you will need to use “inches” instead of “inches”)
• 1 meter in inches

This tip is particularly interesting because it also works for currencies.

But that's not all, because the google search It's really full of all sorts of tips like that. For example, you can ask for the time in New York, and that way you won't have to calculate it yourself, and you'll even see its time zone!
