The English press group BBC has just put online on its website a rather interesting and educational page which will take you on a journey to the centre of the Earth, to the core of our blue planet, in a small capsule equipped with a drill.
This page is titled " Journey to the center of the Earth " and is reminiscent of Jules Verne's novel "Journey to the Center of the Earth" from which it bears its name... but the resemblance ends there since it is not a question of reproducing Professor Lidenbrock's journey.
In fact, on this web page, you will be able to travel the entire path that will take you from the surface of the globe to its center. To do this, you will scroll down the page and throughout your long journey, you will discover what you might encounter at this or that depth both in the ground and in the sea.
You will need to be patient to cover the 6m that separate you from the Earth's core, but the journey is quite interesting if you take the time to read all the little bits of information and anecdotes (in English) that punctuate the journey...
