A while ago, Twitter implemented a change that would show tweets from people you don't follow on your timeline. The idea behind this update was to allow you to discover new users and possibly interesting tweets.
To do this, Twitter sometimes shows you tweets that have been liked by people you follow…
But the problem is that this feature is not for everyone and there is no preset setting to disable it. Indeed, some people are happy to discover new users and their tweets, but others feel that it comes pollute their timeline.
For the latter, there is a trick to avoid seeing these unwanted tweets!
Hide tweets from people you don't follow on your timeline
The trick is relatively simple and involves using another Twitter parameter: the list of hidden words !
In fact, you just need to hide certain keywords to make these suggestions proposed by the social network disappear:
suggest_recycled_tweet suggest_recap suggest_who_to_follow suggest_ranked_timeline_tweet suggest_pyle_tweet suggest_recycled_tweet_inline suggest_activity_tweet
Add words to your account's hidden words list
On the web version
On the web version of Twitter, just follow the steps below:
More > Settings & Privacy > Content Preferences > Hidden > Hidden Words.
All you have to do is put the keywords mentioned above in it, respecting the following options:

On mobile
If you want to do the manipulation on Twitter's mobile app, it's pretty much the same thing (although less convenient for copying and pasting keywords).
Bring up the Twitter menu bar by clicking on your profile picture in the top left.
Then follow the following path:
Settings & Privacy > Content Preferences > Hidden > Hidden Words
You then just have to add the keywords one by one, respecting the following options:
