If there is one service that has made noise since its creation, it is Uber, the driver service that has revolutionized the aging and technologically backward taxi model. This service allows, in the cities it covers, to find a driver very easily using your smartphone. Another big advantage is that you no longer need to take out your cash at the end of the journey, you pay directly and automatically with your account upon arrival.
Sometimes maligned but often appreciated, Uber has managed to grow very quickly and people are using it more and more, spending quite a bit of money in the process.
If you are a regular user, have you ever wondered how much you spent in total on Uber?
No? Then you should know that there is a website called UberStats which takes care of calculating in just a few seconds how much you have spent on Uber and how many times you have used the service.
To retrieve this information, however, you will have to follow a few steps that I will describe below:
- First, go to the website ofUberStats
- Scroll down the page until you reach the link shown in the following image

- Drag this link to your bookmarks bar
- Then log in to your Uber account and go to the “My Rides” page by following this link.
- Once logged in and on the correct page, click on the UberStats link in your bookmarks bar.
- A message will appear telling you that the calculation may take around forty seconds.
- Close this message and wait until the results page is displayed
Once you have your statistics, you can even access an overall ranking to see where you stand in terms of Uber spending compared to everyone who has used the app.
As I write these lines, the number 1 in the ranking has still spent nearly $55 on Uber rides!
A big thank you to Alexei Chemenda, developer ofUberStats , who I chatted with on Twitter to get him to fix bugs on this app and who was incredibly responsive!
EDIT March 2017: the site is unfortunately no longer online but it exists an alternative to discover here
