If you have a few minutes (which could turn into hours) and you are a music fan, you will certainly make very good use of this magnificent 100% HTML5 drum machine!
Graphically inspired by a classic 80's drum machine (the Roland TR-808), The HML5 Drum Machine faithfully reproduces most of the features of a beatbox standard.
Developed by Jamie Thomson and available for free on all web browsers that support HTML5, it is described as the most advanced online drum machine.
I created this app thinking that producers could compose and upload drum beats in a very intuitive and accessible way.
In the program, HML5 Drum Machine allows you to:
- create multiple 16-beat patterns
- Emulate 5 different drum kits: TR-808, TR-909, LinnDrum, electronic drums and acoustic drums
- manipulate the pitch and volume of each drum sample
- remember loops (probably using cookies) to find them when you return to the site
- save and download loops in .wave to use them in other software (Ableton, Logic…)
If this drum machine is quite complete, rest assured, you don't need to be a pro to use it... after a few minutes of tinkering you should be able to produce a sound that holds up...
