In early October, NASA published a little gem for space travel enthusiasts on its Project Apollo Archive website: thousands of high-resolution photographs from the Apollo program gathered on the Flickr platform. This space program was intended to send a crew of three men to the Moon, land two of them and have them all return safe and sound.
As a result, many Internet users have seized this gold mine and decided to use these photos in their own way. This is the case of the so-called harrisonicus who decided to bring together on Vimeo a bunch of photos from the different Apollo missions which follow one another in a 3-minute video giving an impression of time lapse very successful.
In the same vein, The Planetary Society focused on the most legendary of the Apollo missions, Apollo 11, the mission that led to the first manned step on the Moon with the magic trio: Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins on July 20, 1969.
In short, by publishing these photographs, NASA has given all space enthusiasts something to do for the coming months... Watch this space to find the next gems!
