The online utility WordMark.it makes it much easier to preview all the fonts installed on your computer, all on one customizable screen where you can see them all at once.
At first glance, WordMark.itis a very easy-to-use tool. Type the text you want to test (a word, a sentence or even an entire paragraph) and press "Enter" to see how this text will look with all the fonts installed on your computer.
Note, you will need to enable Adobe FlashPlayer on your browser for this to work. If not, the site will tell you how to enable it.
Filter and save fonts
Click on fonts that interest you and press the button Filter selected if you wish to reduce your selection.
When you are done choosing and only have the fonts you like left, click the button Save image to download a screenshot in PNG format with the previews and the name of the fonts you have chosen. You can also print this selection directly.
All this can be done without opening a (free) account on the site. If you want to go even further by categorizing your fonts using keywords, creating an account will be necessary.
Once your account is created, to add keywords, select the fonts you want to categorize and click Filter selected. A menu will appear above the fonts. Click the button Tag selected fonts (the small label) and enter a keyword. You can add multiple keywords to fonts.
You can then filter on these keywords. Useful, for example, if you want to display only the fonts that you have categorized as “Handwritten”.

The keyword system makes it very powerful to use to find different types of fonts depending on your needs… but you will have to have the courage to do the categorization work up front!
