Waiting? It's has-been thanks to I Like Waiting

I don't know about you, but there is one thing I hate above all else: waiting in line, despite our great phones that are very practical in these cases (but too often discharged). So one day I told myself that it was too much Twentieth century. And I discovered a great site that I use every time I need to make a phone call to customer service or go to a busy place.

First of all, I give you the link to the site: I like to wait.

Launched in October 2009 by three friends, JaimeAttendre.com lists peak times for calling or traveling during off-peak hours.

The idea came to him when, after a two-hour queue at the CAF, Emmanuel Alquier (co-founder of the site, ed) discovered a crowd table indicating that he was in a red period when the next morning would have been a green period, with no waiting. That's when he decided to gather all these tables on a site, both for physical locations and for customer services where it is not uncommon to hear "please call back later, all our advisors are busy".

"We're not giving you a scientific method to save time, but just a helping hand so you don't waste it stupidly," says Emmanuel Alquier, co-founder of J'aime Attendre.

But you might ask: what about reliability? You should know that most of the time the organizations themselves are at the source and update the data. If the companies refuse, JaimeAttendre carries out its own surveys or calls on its community.

Indeed, it is very important for companies to smooth out their traffic. To save money but also to attract new customers. A study carried out by J'aime Attendre showed that:

  • 62% of respondents were put off visiting an exhibition by fear of a queue at the entrance.
  • 55% of Parisians have already left an exhibition upon arrival because the queue was too long.

It is for this purpose that the site offers several guides to save time.

The different guides are:

  • The end of year celebrations,
  • Leisure parks,
  • Parisian exhibitions,
  • Visit Paris without delay,
  • The quick move.

Of course, all this wouldn't be complete without a smartphone app. However, sorry for those allergic to Apple, this app is only available for iPhone. (Download here)

All that remains for me is to wish you a happy wait!
