Well, believe it or not, it's possible thanks to Wayback Machine (literally Time Machine).
Beneath its somewhat austere exterior, this website is a true war machine.
The idea comes from the American Brewster Kahle who, as early as 1996, had the idea of archiving all the content available on the internet (which was easier at the time given the lack of content).

How far back do we need to go?
The index begins in the late 1990s. Type Google com and select the year 1998: you will see the austere page with the blue links. Some very old domains (Geocities, MySpace) however show gaps, linked to data loss or exclusion directives (file robots.txt) applied at the time.
Why do some pages remain inaccessible?
