You have found THE font, the one you have been looking for for weeks and dreaming about at night... unfortunately, you can't find its name! You have looked through hundreds of fonts on specialist sites in vain.
Don't worry, I have the solution to all your problems! WhatFontIs is a free online tool that will try to find the font of your dreams for you from a simple image.
This site uses artificial intelligence to identify the font present in the image. According to WhatFontIs, this AI is capable of find the police in 90% of cases. The remaining 10% are generally explained by a poor quality image (low resolution, distorted text, etc.).
Identify a font from an image with WhatFontIs
First thing to do, go to the WhatFontIs website. On the home page, upload an image or specify a URL of an image available on the web.
This image must be of relatively good quality and display text written in the font you wish to find (logical...).
Then press the button Find The Font to start the mill.
Then select the text box containing the font you want to identify. The site recommends selecting only 4 to 10 characters of the font you want to find.

Then click on the big button Next Step > to access the image optimization step. The more readable your text is, the better the analysis result will be. So WhatFontIs suggests that you work in particular on the contrast and brightness of the piece of image that you have selected.

If the letters are very close together, you can draw lines between each letter to separate them. This is often the case with handwritten fonts.
Click again Next Step > to reach the last step. In this step, you will have to do two things. First, if the letters are badly cut (a letter in several pieces for example) you will have to slide each piece of letter on top of each other to form only one letter.

Next, you will need to enter the letter that each thumbnail corresponds to in the field below in order to identify the letters.

Click again on Next Step > so that WhatFontIs AI gives you the result of its analysis.
In general, the result is quite reliable, but the site will offer you a total of 60 fonts that look like or come close (more or less) to the one you are looking for. So if it does not find the right one police, there is a good chance that you will find a font close to the one you are looking for.

By default WhatFontIs displays both paid and free fonts in its results, but it is also possible to ask it to display only free fonts.
In all cases (paid or free) the site gives you a link to get the font of your dreams!
